So after watching the weather reports and hearing them say the name of our town twice... I did what any good mom would do. I put some emergency supplies in the bathroom (our house doesn't have a basement - so this is where we'd go).

Even better, we're supposed to be in for it again tonight. Currently:
Sigh. I think I dislike rain even more than snow at this point. |
Anyhow, we are all still here, after much bullshit weather and even more bullshit medical problems in the family. I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who's been keeping us in your prayers! I love you all.
Be back again soon...
We keep a copy of all of our important paperwork in a safe deposit box at the bank. Tornados, fires, massive thefts... all reasons that you'd not want your only copy to be at home!
ReplyDeleteoh man that first pic is super scary with that black sky! i'm always so paranoid that we're gonna get hit with a tornado... no basement here either and i'm on the top floor! :(
ReplyDeletei hope things clear up weather wise and health wise soon!!
Holy crap those are some storms. We bought a little safe and our crap is all in there. Granted it's in our room, but...at least I don't think it'd burn (God forbid).
ReplyDeleteStill praying for yall.
I didn't realize you got such strong weather in that neck of the woods. Stopping by from the blog hoop.
ReplyDeleteWell, that looked scary! Hope you are all okay.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been crazy in your neck of the woods for weeks now. Yikes. I hope it is starting to look more like summer.
ReplyDeleteAre you in Florida? I'm in Texas and we get weather like that! Crazy, especially coming from California- I have never seen anything like it! Even crazier- they don't build basements or storm cellars when i asked a realtor why no houses have basements if tornado's come through this start often and he had no answer for me, I don't get it so I guess we'll be hanging out in our bathtub also when a tornado hits!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower, hope you'll follow back when you have time!

I grew up in Uniontown, OH and Oh! How I remember those skies. When I was little it seemed so scary and exciting. I had no idea, as most kids don't, how much destruction those storms can bring.
